The country estate

The family owns a country estate, a typical example of the plots of land in the Sóller valley, with beautiful citrus groves and traditional drystone marges, or walled terraces, dotted with monumental olive and orange trees, for the most-part, native varieties.

The Can Det estate is irrigated by a spring that originates on the same land and that was found at the end of the 19th century by Guillermo Deyà Castañer, an ancestor of the Deyà family. Being acutely aware of the current situation and committed to sustainability, the family have optimised the irrigation system seeking maximum efficiency in terms of saving the water resources that irrigate the majestic orange trees.
